About Afya Baltimore Inc. 

Founded in 2007, Afya Baltimore Inc. (ABI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is responsible for operating and managing public charter schools in Baltimore City. Our schools promote healthy balanced lives for students in Pre-K through 8th grade. Our community of school leaders, educators, families, board members, and partners develop and implement challenging and meaningful curricula to support students as they travel along their educational pathway. We set ambitious and feasible goals and work relentlessly to help students of every race, gender, socioeconomic status, and ability achieve them. 

ABI provides the healthy foundations so our schools can do the work of helping Baltimore’s children to live healthy, balanced lives: intellectually, socially/emotionally, and physically. Key foundational supports include:

• Guiding academic programming
• Coordinating facility management and development
• Providing communications expertise
• Providing financial services and consultation
• Promoting talent development
